Stubton Hall offers a spectacular backdrop for any wedding. So we were delighted when Charlene & Lewis said they were getting married there.
Even though the wedding ceremony would be held at All Saints Church in Ruskington, Charlene still wanted to get ready at Stubton Hall. There were quite a few people getting ready at the same time, yet the atmosphere remained relaxed. We managed to get some lovely natural photos at this point before leaving to meet the groom at the church.
Lewis was a little nervous before the ceremony but was more than happy to have some photos. The sun was shining and everyone was in good spirits as they arrived.
Even though Charlene was ready early she still kept Lewis on ‘tender hooks’ as she arrived approx 30 minutes late! I would like to add it was not her fault though. Charlene did look absolutely beautiful in her wedding dress. So much so that when Lewis first saw her he became a little emotional.
It was a beautiful ceremony and we are pleased to say that the vicar was a delight to work with.
After the ceremony, we captured a small amount of family portrait photos at the church before heading back to Stubton Hall. We thought it was best that everyone could relax with a drink whilst we photographed the remaining family group photos.
A lovely old car had been restored especially for the wedding. I believe this was the car that was used on the wedding day for one of their parents. I thought that was a nice gesture to have some photos with it.
We decided to have a little stroll around the front garden capturing some nice romantic photos by the large tree and then back inside by the main staircase.
A surprise was laid on for the guests towards the end of the wedding breakfast. A singing waiter made an entrance and was superb. He had everyone singing and dancing and this enabled us to capture some fantastic natural photos. Four speeches followed which were very heartwarming and humorous.
As the light faded we decided to use the rear garden and capture some lovely photos with the Hall as the backdrop.
The cake cutting took place just before the ‘two’ first dances. There was the official one that the couple had arranged, followed by a special song that had been personally written and sung by the singing waiter.
Charlene and Lewis are a beautiful couple and we thoroughly enjoyed working at this wedding.
This is what the couple had to say:
We waited 3 and a half years for our big day which was the best thing we ever decided to do. The moment we saw Stubton Hall we knew it was the place where we wanted to have as our wedding venue. So we waited and saved every penny possible for our amazing day. I couldn’t of wished for a better day everything went so smoothly, we chose PM Photography and they certainly didn’t disappoint, not only did they capture our day better then we could have ever hoped but made me as a bride feel so at ease, making everyone laugh, wiping my tears before walking down the aisle and even helping me get ready. What a truly amazing team and can’t thank you all enough.
